Wreck Explorer Level III

Prerequisites

Wreck Explorer Level III
  1. Must be at least a minimum 21 years of age.
  2. Must be ISE Exploration Diver Level 2 and ISE Wreck Explorer Level 2 qualified.
  3. Must have a minimum of 500 logged dives, with at least 200 dives on double cylinders, 50 dives of these must be beyond ISE Wreck Explorer Level 2 training.
  4. Must be able to perform the following: 

1000 meters swimming in less than 25 min. & free dive a distance of 35 meters
or alternatively
Snorkel 800 meters (with fins) in less than 14 min. & free dive a distance of 50 meters
or alternatively
Run 1000 Meters in less than 3:30 min.

Purpose

The ISE Wreck Explorer Level 3 is designed to establish technical diving excellence and facilitate deep, mixed gas exploration wreck diving. The emphasis is placed on aggressive diving profiles including advanced decompression theory, advanced gas mixture/management, control over extreme exposures to oxygen and proficiency in the use of a DPV for propulsion at depth.

This course is heavily experience-based and deals mostly with the practical implications of deep wreck diving including extreme penetrations. Divers are expected to be capable technical divers.

Duration

This class will be conducted over a duration of 10 days, and involves at least 12 dives. At least 6 dives will be actual wreck dives.

Limits

  1. Student to instructor ratio will not exceed 3:1 in all in-water and surface sessions.
  2. Maximum training depth of 99 meters.
  3. Certification expires after 3 years. Students have to re-qualify. (An evaluation dive)

Price

Tuition of 1500 € per student + instructor's travel and diving expenses. (to be shared equally amongst all students)
