ISE Foundations (Technical)

The ISE Foundations (Technical) is a class dedicated to cultivating comfortable, competent and confident divers that do not impact the environment. It allows them to maximize aquatic fun and safety. This course is also to prepare them for continuation in ISE technical, cave and wreck courses. It also builds a solid foundational skill level for divers, so as to be able to undertake all sorts of future advance scuba training easily.

This extended version covers the use of a Bottomstage and Hyperoxic Trimix - 30/30 for the use in no decompression dives down to 40 meters

Prerequisites

  • Must be 16 years old and above.
  • Must be a certified diver from a particular scuba training organization.
  • Must be able to swim 20 m on a breath hold.
  • Must meet the general fitness level for the sport

Purpose

The ISE Foundations, Technical is the ultimate skill refinement for every diver, no matter what the certifiction level is and no matter what configuration he or she uses.

This course is specifically designed for the recreational diver that feels the urge to go technical. Combining the benefits of Nitrox and Trimix gives students the ability to practice their skills beyond the class, still staying within recreational limits, but in preparation for higher, more rigorous forms of training.

From basic buoyancy, trim and finning techniques, to general comfort in the water every aspect of safe scuba diving is covered. The class is conducted in double including one stage. ISE Foundations is THE tool to build a solid base platform for your ongoing education as well as for a life full of safe and enjoyable diving.

Duration

This class will be conducted over a minimum duration of 4 days.

Limits

  • Student to instructor ratio will not exceed 3:1 in all in-water and surface sessions.
  • 4:1 with one Assistant
  • Maximum training depth of 36 m.
  • No decompression.
  • No overhead environment
