Requalification

The ISE Requalification Course is designed to ensure that certified divers remain truly capable, current, and safe at the level they are trained to dive. Because skills and knowledge degrade without regular practice, ISE requires divers to stay active and demonstrate continued proficiency. All major ISE certifications carry a 3‑year validity period, after which divers must undergo requalification to maintain their status.

This course evaluates a diver’s practical skills, theoretical understanding, situational awareness, and overall readiness to dive at their highest certified level. The assessment is conducted by an authorized ISE representative who verifies that the diver can still meet the performance standards expected of their certification. If gaps are identified, targeted coaching may be provided to restore competence and confidence.

The Requalification Course protects divers and their teams by preventing unsafe returns to the water after long periods of inactivity, ensuring that every active ISE diver remains sharp, responsible, and aligned with ISE’s philosophy of precision and safety.
